Telangana Health Cards for Employees Pensioners
Telangana Health Cards will be issued to all the Telangana State Government Employees and Pensioners from tomorrow 22nd October 2014. Telangana State Government will be issuing Telangana Health Cards for all Government Employees and Pensioners for cashless treatment in network hospitals spread across the state Telangana. Under the Telangana Health Scheme, Govt employees and pensioners will get free medical treatment in network hospitals
Telangana Health Cards scheme will provide inpatient treatment for the listed therapies under all specialties in the empanelled hospitals and necessary follow-up treatments of surgical or medical ailments. The Telangana State government has announced today that there is NO medical expenses limit and the government will bear all the expenditure of the employee or pensioner.
Previous Congress government has issued several guidelines and G.O’s regarding health cards to the unified Andhra Pradesh Govt employees and Pensioners. The guidelines are as follows
The network hospital will earmark one of their staff as EHS (Employee Health Scheme) liaison assistant to liaise with EHS patients.
OP (Out Patient) treatment for pre-defined long-term (chronic) diseases will be provided in notified hospitals.
The employees, pensioners and their dependent family members will be eligible for a sum of Rs.2.00 lakhs (Rupees two lakhs only) per episode of illness with no limit on the number of episodes. However, in the cases where the cost of treatment exceeds Rs.2.00 lakhs, cashless treatment will continue. The limit of Rs.2.00 lakhs will not apply in cases where predetermined package rates are above Rs.2.00 lakhs.The period from the date of reporting to hospital to 10 days after the date of discharge from the hospital will be treated as part of the package. The package will include the entire range of investigations, medicines, implants, consumables, diet, post-operations / post-treatment complications and follow up care arising from the therapeutic intervention.
If both of the spouses are Government employees or Service Pensioners, contribution by any one of the spouses is sufficient.
The above guidelines have been prepared by the previous government. It is expected that the telangana state government will issue separate guidelines for Telangana Health Cards. More information will be add soon at www.ehf.telangana.gov.in
